Meet our panellists
Derrick Pierre | The Commune
Combining his experience and the skills acquired from past jobs, Derrick finally turned his dreams into reality when he opened his live music venue, The Commune, in rural Nova Scotia in 2015. It wasn’t an easy road and there were many challenges along the way. For Derrick, when faced with adversity there is no option but to succeed. The commune continues to be an integral part of the community by showcasing the arts and entertainment culture and by offering an establishment where everybody can feel welcomed.
